Race report by Riley Papalia
Both cars were flawless to drive, but with a few minor changes both cars were even better to run at the pointy end of the field. Saturday would be 2WD day with my XRAY XB2 Dirt Edition. Qualifying would not start off the best, by getting caught up with lapped traffic whilst leading some qualifiers would drop me down to start in 9th spot for the A Main.

I worked hard and drove smartly in the mains to finish 6th overall in WA. The final day of the WA State Titles would be Sunday for 4WD day. My qualifying would start off well being 3rd for the Round in Q1, and every other qualifier leaving me inside the Top 10 to qualify 4th on the grid for the A Main. A1 would be a challenging race, making a few mistakes on the opening laps would leave me to finish 8th in A1. A Main 2 I dropped down a few spots at the beginning again, but pushing hard with the car would allow me to overtake 4th spot on the finish line by 0.1 of a second.

The final Main would be the luckiest of all, some drivers breaking their cars and making mistakes made me drive my way to the lead of the pack for the final 3 minutes of the race, eventually, winning A3. After a countback, I ended up finishing 3rd overall in Western Australia! Thank you to all my sponsors for making this accomplishment come true, #TeamXRAY #ProLine #HEI #HUDY #Nosram and Ari Bakla.
